Learning to make an album cover using photo shop

I am going to attempt to recreate this album cover using the images given to help.

STEPS:

1- I dragged the face of the girl into photo shop and cropped her so it was just her face

2- I then changed the image to black and white in the adjustments tab.

3- Again on the adjustments tab I posterized it in order to give less detail. The level I put it to was 2

4- I dragged the dripping image into photo shop where I used the magic wand tool in order o erase the white background which erases it. The reason why the dripping is on the right hand side instead of the left is because it works better this way

5- On editing tab I clicked tree transform which allowed me to put the dripping at a certain angle accurately under the eye to give it an effect of crying.

6- To change the dripping to blue I pressed control b and played around with cyan and blue to try and get the colour to light blue

7- After this, I used the ellipse tool whilst pressing shift at the same time in order to get perfect circles

8- I changed the colour of the circles to a purple/ pink colour and changed the opacity to about 60% like it looked in the original image.

9- I then used text to type in the title and changed the colour and font to the appropriate look and size.
